Links of the week ending 03-04-09

Following on from last weeks trial, here are this weeks links I found interesting and informative.

Hope they bring as much insight to you as they did for me, let me know via the comments.

If there are other links you'd like to share, send me a Tweet @DigitalSignals, if I think the link has some value to add, I'll stick it in the mix for the next links post.

The Art of Creativity

This is an in depth analysis of the psychology related to being creative, its not a quick post and I am still working my way through it. But from what I've read so far, it's worth taking the time to read it for sure.

Twitter personality insight

This post, by Valeria Maltoni, is a detailed investigation into how minor changes to the tone or pitch of a question can attract different attention.

It also goes on to investigate the psychology associated with specific actions and responses to Tweets, are you a RT'r and what does that mean about your personality? Very interesting.

The pleasures of Tea

I'm a big tea drinker, I never ventured down the road of the obsessive coffee drinking in the morning on route to work, even when I worked in London.

My Grandfather taught me always to keep the kettle filled, just in case the water goes off, ensuring you can always have a cup of tea. War-time taught him this, but he continued with the habit throughout his life.

This is a post about the rise of tea drinking amongst the silicon valley's social media millionaires.

The Seven Stones of Simpler Living

After leaving London, we as a family have tried to keep our lives simple. If I'm honest, partly driven by financial restrictions since I left better paid work. But it is also through a personal hatred of waste and rubbish.

Chris Baskind writes some good common sense on these matters often.
